This January, we had the wonderful opportunity to visit India and retrace the footsteps of Sri Sri Bhagavan.
Starting in Kolkata, we attended Bhagavan’s 84th birthday celebration, visited Dakshineswar and Belur Math, as well as Jayrambati and Kamarpukur.
This was followed by visiting Guwahati, where we met the president, Maharajji, of IVS. Soon after, we visited Varanasi which included a boat ride on the River Ganges and Kashi Vishwanath Temple.
The next part of the trip included visiting Kumbh Mela. We had the incredible opportunity to have the sacred dip in the Ganges on the auspicious day 29th January.
We finished our trip back at Mayer Bari in Kolkata to reflect on our pilgrimage.
“This was my first time to India on the IVS pilgrimage. I immediately felt so welcomed and supported by Jahnavi ma and the rest of IVS, as if I had always been part of this spiritual family. Every ashram and place we went to was filled with so much love and open hearts, that you could truly feel why IVS has such a magnitude of divinity behind it. It was so beautiful to have the opportunity to meet Guru ma, and the Swamiji’s who had been with Bhagavan for many years. Being able to spend time in places where Bhagavan had lived, and feel the love behind each devotee, it felt that Bhagavan was living in each and every person I met. This tour truly changed my life, it opened my heart to what spirituality truly is and the enormous impact and significance IVS has on humanity.”
