Despite advancements in technology and increases global connectivity, individuals continue to experience loneliness, stress and a sense of purposelessness. This disconnect from inner peace and True Self-knowledge contributes to a world filled with suffering, violence and environmental degradation.
The International Vedanta society are committed to creating a community of peace, compassion and understanding by helping individuals realise their true nature through Self-Realisation.
What’s the first step into spirituality? What are common misconceptions about spirituality?
Olivia grew up in Dorset, and moved to London in 2018 to continue her studies as an opera singer. Since graduating in 2022, Olivia felt a restlessness within her and was on a search for a deeper meaning in her life. After years of searching, Olivia came across Jahnavi Ma’s event in London 2023, and since then has been dedicating her time to learn more about the Vedanta Philosophy as she gradually began to feel a profound shift within.
In the past year, Olivia has had the opportunity to connect with a Vedanta group in Indonesia, where she immersed herself in spiritual practices with Shraddha Ma and the rest of the team in Bali and Jakarta. Since returning, she was fortunate to join Swami Probuddhananda Puri’s ‘Love Manifestations’ tour in the Netherlands, where she was able to deepen her understanding of Vedanta through spending time with Swamiji.
Olivia visited India with IVS in December 2024 to delve further into her spiritual journey. She hopes to spread the teachings of Vedanta to the younger generations, and help Jahnavi Ma in her mission to bring peace and knowledge of the inner world to the UK. Olivia is currently creating a podcast where she will interview Vedanta practitioners from around the world to highlight the practical implementation and everyday benefits of the practice. The podcast will be shared on our website.
